Player-centric quality experiences are possible only if the facilitators are trained in the HUNGERBALL® method of running the games in ways that equalise the playing field.
We have developed a training platform of self-paced modules to help us train facilitators to deliver HUNGERBALL® games that are fun and inclusive for all ages and abilities. This means more and more players can play.
HUNGERBALL® has evolved from quick-hit play to the long-term placement of an arena at a school or club. With trained facilitators, the program can be offered to communities sustainably, ensuring its long-term impact.
Could a social competition be the next step? The HUNGERBALL® model would continue to provide inclusive fun for players of any ability, filling a niche for kids who are not playing other sports. No matter what their skill level is, they have a chance to succeed and belong.

In November, HUNGERBALL® spent an awesome day at Papatoetoe Central School.
Coach Harsh delivered the teacher training session, and the arena remained on site for three full weeks to be used regularly. A big mihi to John Walker Find Your Field of Dreams Foundation and CLM Community Sport for helping fund this amazing project, which benefited tamariki all around South Auckland.
