Andu faced All Whites ’82 legend Bobby Almond in the HUNGERBALL® arena as part of a fun introductory session for football coaches at the two clubs in Christchurch.
Thanks to funding support from Bobby’s and Peter Phelan’s Centre Circle – a community-based football supporter group from Christchurch that is also a partner of Friends of Football.
In 2022, Cashmere Technical & Selwyn United FC became HUNGERBALL® Associates, and on the back of last year’s success with HUNGERBALL® in local schools and communities, both clubs’ Associate Licenses have just been renewed for another year.
In Auckland, Manukau United FC are long-standing HUNGERBALL® partners who renewed their licenses with funding support from CLM. Their coaches assisted HUNGERBALL® with delivering regular events at Te Āhuru Mōwai o Aotearoa – Māngere Refugee Resettlement Centre as part of a project funded by Foundation North. This will continue throughout 2024.
