About the Canterbury Team
HUNGERBALL® is available for hire in the Canterbury region through HUNGERBALL® operator Aoife Duffy. School activations are also coordinated in partnership with Primary Sports Canterbury.
The PSC membership to date consists of more than 230 kura from across the Canterbury and West Coast regions. Primary-aged students at these member schools have access to a range of PSC events and offerings that continue to develop in both style and variety.
I’m Aoife, the Area Developer for Hungerball Canterbury.
I’m a proud Irish girl, a mum of two, a qualified sports coach and, if there’s one thing you’ll quickly learn about me, it’s that I bring a LOT of energy. I’m the type of person who can turn pretty much anything into a World Cup final — so expect plenty of hype, competition and good vibes when I’m around.
Sport has always been a massive passion of mine. I’ve worked with Ginger Sport (Queensland), where I was lucky enough to run Hungerball sessions myself — and that’s where my love for Hungerball really came from. I loved the energy, the competitiveness and, most importantly, seeing people having an absolute blast while getting active.
I’m all about getting people involved, giving things a go and making sure everyone has a good time. Whether you’re playing football, hockey, or one of the many other games Hungerball has to offer, I want you to leave the session already planning the next one.
I’ll be running Hungerball across Canterbury, growing the sessions, bringing new people into the mix and making sure the Canterbury Hungerball scene is one you don’t want to miss.
As a mum, I also know how important it is for kids to have a space where they can be active, make friends, build confidence and just have fun — and that’s something I’m really passionate about creating through Hungerball.
