The Lenco and HUNGERBALL partnership aims to provide Tamariki and Rangatahi in more New Zealand schools with regular and sustainable HUNGERBALL opportunities.
Lenco, established in 1975, quickly became one of New Zealand’s fastest-growing apparel companies. By 2012, Lenco’s commitment to quality, combined with decades of industry expertise, earned it accreditation to manufacture for global brands and secured major licensing programs.
While Lenco maintained a strong emphasis on “Made in New Zealand” garments, the shift in market demand towards lower-cost goods manufactured overseas presented significant challenges. Although Lenco moved its manufacturing to overseas, the delay resulted in losing the market share, but the brand’s reputation for quality and service endured.
In 2022, Aquila NZ Limited acquired the Lenco portfolio with a bold vision: to reinvigorate Lenco as a trusted, New Zealand-owned and operated brand.
Now, as they celebrate 50 years in business in 2025, Lenco has launched the L75 brand— a refreshed identity symbolising Lenco’s renewed focus on performance, innovation, and affordability across a variety of sports. The aim of the L75 brand is to establish Lenco as one of New Zealand’s leading uniform & sports brands, combining heritage with forward-thinking design and functionality.
Today, Lenco supplies ‘head-to-toe’ custom uniforms and sports kits to schools, clubs, and corporate organisations across New Zealand.
