What an amazing way to end the school year at The Whitby High School. Great to see the students and staff having such a great time, HUNGERBALL® in action and the school raising over £650 for charity!
After a successful three months trial in 2018 where HUNGERBALL® was used daily during lunch times and school-community events, The Whitby High School became the first educational provider in the UK to adopt HUNGERBALL® as a health and well-being tool around which the “Hunger4Health” project was born.
Under the inspiring guidance of the school Head Teacher, Mr Bryn Heeley, the “Hunger4Health” project continues to make use of the HUNGERBALL® concept to encourage physical activity, teamwork and leadership skills and to improve the physical and mental well-being of the students of The Whitby High School. The project has a dual purpose of promoting informal exercise for the school population plus focused work with groups of vulnerable learners.
